Overview

This article describes the 'Careers site' tab options available via the ‘Manage categories’ self-service functionality. The ‘Careers site’ tab includes settings that control the category's visibility and selection options on the careers site. To configure your organisation's categories, you must be granted the ‘Can manage categories’ permission.

'Careers site' tab

To update a category, click on its name. You will be taken to the ‘General’ tab, select the 'Careers site' tab to update the below options.

Please note

All the options described below are available for ‘Profile/search agent’ categories. The only option available for ‘Job seeker additional info’ and ‘Job seeker private info’ is the ‘Selection mode’, and this tab does not appear for ‘Internal tracking’ categories as it is not relevant.

Job search panel

Select whether this category is always visible in the job search panel or is hidden under the “show advanced” expansion option. Some careers sites may have a custom job search panel that doesn't include a 'show advanced' option. If you have questions about this option, please contact [email protected]

Selection mode

Select whether candidates can choose to add one or multiple values of this category to their profile. Generally 'Profile/Search agent' categories are configured to allow multiple selections so candidates can receive job alerts about all the category values they are interested in.

Auto stamping

Selecting this option will automatically add this category's job selection(s) to the candidate's profile when they apply. If multiple values are often selected for this category or if you use recruitment pipelines, carefully consider the impact enabling auto stamping will have on candidates' job alerts, candidate match and pipeline filtering. For pipelines, if all the category selections on the job are added to the candidate's profile when they apply, the pipeline to child job filtering won't work for this category.

The Client Success team can also map registration questions to specific values in this category if required. Please contact [email protected] to find out more.
