Overview
To run any of the SnapHire Standard Reports using your organization's data, you will first need to copy the standard report into your organization's own folder - please review this article for more information.
A report will not automatically update with data when opened. A report will need to be re-run to populate with new data.

Running a report
To run a report:
- In your organization's own folder, double-click on the name of the report you wish to run, or use the rightclick on your mouse and select "View" from the drop down menu.
- The report will open in a new navigation tab (i.e. to the right of the Home and Documents navigation tabs above the menus/toolbar). You can have multiple reports open at once, each report will appear as a new navigation tab. The first time you open this report it may be empty as you have not yet run the report with your organization's data:
- Click on the refresh icon:
You will be prompted for the information required to run the specific report - an answer must be provided to all of the prompts for the report to run. Refer to "Using prompts" below.
Click OK to run the report. A loading box will display, this will buffer while the report fetches the data you have asked for. Please note that the time it takes for report to buffer will depend on the parameters for the report that you have specified (e.g. the time period), this can mean the report may take a few minutes to run. When the report has finished running, the loading box will disappear.
Select/deselect "Input controls" to interrogate and slice the data in your report. Refer to "Using input controls" later in this article.
- Use the Save icon to save the report to a folder of your choosing within your organization's report folder structure. You can also use the Save As function.
Using prompts
Prompt values can be changed by refreshing the list of possible value options and selecting a new value using the arrow buttons. Date values should be selected using the calendar widget. Many report prompts are standard and do not need to be updated or changed when you run your report (eg. Timezone; Job Status to exclude)
You will only be able to run your report once you have provided an answer to all of the prompts. Once entered with client specific fields these prompts do not need to be changed subsequently, unless you want to change the scope of analysis.
Using input controls
Input controls allow you functionality to control the information displayed in your report, just like a filter (or slicer) - each report has different input controls.
When you select / deselect a value from the input controls, all of the information across the report will change to reflect the change to the input controls.
For more information about using input controls please refer to Using input controls.
Note: When using input controls always take care to double check that the data showing reflects the input controls selected. It is extremely easy to believe an input control is selected when it isn't - and vice versa.
