Improvements
This version includes the following improvements:
New Dashboard
SnapHire's home screen has been redesigned from the ground up to present you with relevant and actionable information in a more friendly way. The Dashboard tab has been updated to now have three separate sections.
Welcome tab
This is a message that can be displayed to users when they log in to SnapHire. This existing functionality allows for different messages to be presented to different user types (i.e. Recruiters see a different message to Managers and Agency users). If you don't use this functionality, the Welcome tab will not show and the Overview tab will display instead.
Overview tab
We have put together all your tasks due into a single list. These include plan for later actions, ask question actions and jobs or applications waiting for approval. Tasks can be viewed per day by navigating the calendar, now arranged per week.
Insights tab
This new tab will present users with a set of recruitment metrics and charts around jobs open and advertised, application sources, average time to hire as well as some other useful monthly information. Only users granted the new permission "Can view insights tab" will be able to see this tab. This permission is assigned to all Recruiter users by default, but can be assigned/unassigned on a user per user basis. The new insights tab is not customisable currently, but this is something we will continue to add to going forward.
Quick search
The new dashboard includes a preview of our new quick search functionality, which brings up results for candidates, jobs and users without having to first select the one you are searching for. This functionality will only be available when searching from the dashboard for now, but will be updated in other areas of the system in future upgrades.
Additionally, the new quick search can now look for keywords. For instance, "database" will return any database job in your site as well as any candidate with that keyword in their resume.
These are the fields the new quick search will look into:
- Candidates: First name, last name, preferred name, email address, phone number, address and CV
- Jobs: Job title, code, internal description and external description
- Users: First name, last name, email address and phone number
Access to the legacy dashboard
We know changes can be disruptive sometimes, so we have added a link at the bottom of the new Dashboard (View legacy dashboard) to allow users to view the previous version of the dashboard if needed.
Other improvements
- Changed the wording on candidate raisable actions from "Complete" to "Complete this task" to help clarify that an action is required
- Added the ability to display placeholders from within value set details, which allows more customisation when configuring workflows and information that displays to the user
- Added a new permission called "Can refine candidates from a bucket", which can be assigned to managers to allow them to refine a candidate search within a bucket that they have access to
General bug fixing
This version corrects defects introduced in previous versions of SnapHire:
- Trying to delete a category question that was mandatory in the category settings was throwing an error
