Improvements

This version includes the following improvements:

New candidate area

Continuing with the improvements on the overall candidate experience in SnapHire which started last year with the release of the New SnapHire Application Form, we are now releasing a brand new Candidate Area.

The Candidate Area is where candidates can view and update their profile details, manage draft job applications and review active and past applications.

This new version provides a look and feel in line with the new application form which brings in all its benefits as well:

  • Responsive design: The new candidate area significantly improves the experience for mobile users which translates into less applicant drop-offs and higher-quality applications
  • Improved accessibility: The new candidate area improves supports for keyboard navigation and screen readers for visually impaired candidates
  • Branding: The new candidate area blends nicely into your organisation’s careers site using your chosen colours and fonts, and allows further branding customisation if required

Improved onboarding functionality

We have improved the way actions available to candidates work (e.g. KiwiSaver information, Bank account information etc.). Previously, all actions were created the same, making it difficult to design a streamlined, intuitive workflow for candidates.

We have now introduced a new configuration setting that will allow you to categorise candidate raisable actions into the following groups:

  • Mandatory: Actions that need to be completed before a final action can be submitted.
  • Information: Actions that don't require candidates to submit any information and are there for informational purposes only (e.g. a welcome video from your CEO)
  • Final: An action that can only be raised once all mandatory actions have been completed. These actions are typically used to confirm that all necessary details have been submitted and to move candidates from an 'Onboarding' to an 'Onboarding complete' or 'Hired' bucket in your application workflow
  • Other: Actions that are optional or discretional (e.g. Send message to recruitment team). This is the default value.

Multi-section actions

Same as with the application form, actions can now be broken down into multiple sections so that questions inside actions can be grouped into meaningful steps tailored to your hiring process.
