This involves:

  1. Providing advice on job seeker experience and the required careers site elements to include in the design
  2. Once a design has been confirmed, the design can be provided as psd files or html code
  3. We will then create a statement of work
  4. Once signed the design and content will be implemented into the SnapHire careers site
  5. Testing
  6. Launch prep

Note we will do our best to work towards your ideal time-frames but need to ensure that adequate time in your project plan is included for the build. Occasionally there may be elements of a design that cannot be achieved because of SnapHire CMS limitations. Our team will work with you to identify alternative solutions.


Technical

 We develop sites using a best-practice approach. This means complying with web-standards in code-quality by minimizing bloat and superfluous resources, and taking a ‘graceful degradation’ approach for older browsers.  Video content is to be hosted on YouTube, unless this is part of a design feature (e.g. fullscreen background video).   


Your new careers site will be built using progressive enhancement, graceful degradation and best-practice techniques. This means that for candidates visiting the careers site on older browsers, usability will not be compromised. Resources (Images, CSS and JavaScript) will be optimized to ensure page loads are efficient and bloat free. In the case that a page is too ‘heavy’, asynchronous loading techniques will be employed to ensure that content ‘above the fold’ is loaded first.



Testing

Testing is to be performed by both parties to ensure any potential problems are addressed before launch. For SnapHire, this means ensuring that all aspects of the website are functional and that the design is robust and responds correctly to a variety of common devices. Browserstack will be used as our primary tool to test the website across a number of browsers, devices and operating systems.


We will ensure that all core SnapHire features (job application process, search forms, user details etc) function as expected, and that there are no missing links. Once we are satisfied with the state of the careers site, it will be handed over to you or your agency for testing and review. An issue register will be provided to capture any problems. There is no limit to the number of bugs to be fixed, under the condition the affected browser is a modern browser and that the bug is not part of a fundamental shortcoming of the browser. Fixes to bugs that affect older browsers may be negotiated.
