About this report
This report offers a series of tables providing a detailed breakdown of recruitment activity for the cumulative months in the year to date, across a range of KPI measures, sliced by recruiter/job category/job family/ business group. This report is designed to complement the single month STANDARD Monthly Dashboard report, by providing a medium term picture of recruitment activity.
We encourage all of our clients to have this report scheduled as an Excel spreadsheet and emailed directly to recipients at the start of each new month. TIP: Use the freeze panes function in Excel to make scrolling easier.
Use this report to answer questions such as:
- How many new jobs have been opened this year, and how many vacancies are still to fill?
- How many applications / offers / hires were processed month by month?
- What is the average time to offer / average time hire, and are there outliers which have influenced this statistic?
- How does the average time to hire differ across departments?
- On average, how many applications is it taking to get a hire?
- What proportion of internal applicants are hired?
- Over the course of the year, which media channels are delivering quality candidates?
- How busy were different recruiters / the recruitment team month by month?
- Is the company referral process achieving results?
- How many job seekers are on our careers site / subscribed to job alerts?
- What is the most common reason for vacancy?

Report structure
This report is made up of eight tabs.
- Guide to Contents – instructions and an explanation of each report tab
- Analysis - key statistics for applications, offers, and hires; sliced by various business subgroups. Data is shown in a cumulative total table, and as month by month for the year to date.
- Sourcing - analysis of registration and application sources across all media types both as an overall high level summary and in detail, by month
- Job Seekers - a snapshot of sourcing for all candidates registered in your SnapHire system
- Jobs - count of all new jobs open for the year to date, and by month; and number of jobs open at the end of the prior month
- Charts - graphical representation of key data
- Technical Spec - this tab includes all the parameters and prompts that were used to create this report. If required, here you can check what information the report is based on
Input controls
Whilst this report is primarily designed to be viewed in Excel, the data can also be interrogated from within BusinessObjects using input controls. Note that this report excludes jobs with the status of Archived, and Pipeline jobs by default. Recruiters with an email address ending in @snaphire.com or @aotal.com are also excluded.
