Ability to add additional managers on a job

In this release, you can now add multiple additional manager users to a job in SnapHire giving them manager visibility and accessibility (but not receive emails intended for the hiring manager) of that job and applications.

Please contact our Client Success team to have this feature enabled on your site.

New permission to grant trust for managers

We've made a change to allow recruiter users to grant trust for managers. Previously, trust had to be managed by the manager themself via their Account tab. In this release, we have created a permission which can be assigned to users who have the 'Manage users' permission called 'Can set trusted managers for a manager'. This allows the user to grant trust for the manager when editing their details (USER / Other / Edit details)

TIP:  Please be aware that granting trust to a manager on behalf of a manager will give them full visibility and accessibility to all jobs belonging to the first manager. This may expose sensitive and private data which should be seriously considered.

"Chat" to Client Success team

We've introduced "chat" functionality in SnapHire for you to ask quick questions of our Client Success team. If you have the "Can access the Freshdesk 'Log ticket' tab within SnapHire" permission, you will automatically see the chat button on the bottom right of the screen in SnapHire when your site is upgraded to 8490.

Improved job seeker performance

We've made some infrastructure changes to improve job seeker search performance.

Fix to saving documents with long filename

We've fixed an issue with saving documents with large filenames (over 60 characters). Previously, SnapHire had a limitation where if a filename was longer than 64 characters, the last 4 characters were appended to the filename as file extension. We have fixed this to enable users to upload documents with larger filenames.

Update to Haineslink security

This change only impacts clients who use Haineslink integrated with their SnapHire site. Haines made a change to their URL (changed to https) so in this release, we made a change to accommodate this.

Improved readability of action history

We've made a change to an issue some users experienced which was introduced in 8480 in regards to the action history. Users of some browsers saw the action history with slider bars, this has now been fixed.

Administration changes

In this release, we've also made some administration changes.  These will not impact you directly, but we know some clients will be interested to know about them:

  • Data field information: We've added additional information on where a data field is being used for administration users when using the data fields setup screen.
  • Job alert footer placemarker: We've created a new placemarker for the job alert footer.
  • System logs: We've improved the system logs feature used by our Client Success team.
