This article describes the ‘STANDARD REPORT  Jobs by date period’ report available in SAP BusinessObjects.  This article includes:


About this report

The intention of this report is to provide many options to view your SnapHire jobs data.  It is likely that only one or two tabs are useful to your specific needs, but due to clients' varying requirements, this report aims to cater for multiple windows of data.


Note that Archived Jobs and Pipeline Jobs are included in this report.  Use the Input controls to exclude data you do not require.  Input control functionality allows for dynamic data interrogation and comparison of similar data sets from within BusinessObjects.  Alternatively the entire report can exported to Excel where any of the Excel analysis tools can be used.


This report can also be scheduled as an Excel spreadsheet and emailed directly to recipients on a regular basis.


Use this report to answer questions such as:

  • How many jobs were created / opened for the last financial year/quarter/specified date period?
  • What jobs are open now?
  • What business groups are the most active recruiters?
  • How busy are the recruitment team / specific recruiters month by month?
  • How efficient is the recruitment team at closing jobs?
  • How many jobs do we have which have been open for longer than 30 (or another specified number) days?
  • How many applications are received by different jobs / business groups / locations?
  • Which jobs in the past period of time have had Agency hires?
  • Are the wrong jobs being archived?
  • Which jobs are assigned to recruiters who are no longer employed?

Report structure

This report is made up of seven tabs:

  1. Guide to Contents – instructions and an explanation of each report tab
  2. All jobs created - this tab provides a jobs by month chart and a table of all jobs with a creation date within the date range specified.
  3. All jobs opened - this tab provides a jobs by month chart and a table of all jobs with an open date within the date range specified.
  4. Jobs open now - this tab provides a jobs by business group chart and a table of all jobs with a current status of Open or On Hold as at 5pm of the day prior to the report being run.
  5. Jobs open now: SnapHire jobs view – this tab seeks to replicate the view provided by the SnapHire recruiter jobs screen, showing a table of all jobs with a current status of Open or On Hold as at 5pm of the day prior to the report being run, with a count of applicants in each application “bucket”
  6. Jobs closed prior month – this tab provides a jobs by business group chart and a table of all jobs with a close date in the calendar month prior
  7. Parameters - this tab includes all the parameters and prompts that were used to create this report.  If required, here you can check what information the report is based on.


Input controls

The input controls used in this report are detailed below.  Please note:  Always double check that the input controls which appear selected are in fact what is showing in your numbers.  It is extremely easy to believe an input control is selected when it isn’t – and vice versa.
